Not all that much to write so far for the John Muir Trail. I just mailed my food and resupplies to the Muir Trail Ranch. It weighed 26.38 lbs including food, socks, maps, some canned food (Spaghetti O's and some Collard Greens) which will taste really good after eating freeze dried and dehydrated food.
I will head down to Yosemite on 7/2 to acclimate and car camp with 2 friends from Cincinnati named Kevin and Puck. This will be there first backpacking experience and first time in the Sierra Nevadas. Hopefully, I can break the rookies in well. They will have a blast is my prediction.
